It begins with “how do I make a living!”  Hmmm. I was 57 years old and had just retired from corporate life after being a manager for some 30 years. I loved the construction industry, but corporate life…not really.  I felt a need to do something entirely different. After being off for awhile, I knew I did not want to wake up at 6:00 in the morning anymore. (After all, there should be some privileges in getting older) I also knew I wanted to make my own decisions.(This should also be a privilege after a certain age.)  I needed to start my own business. What would it be?  At first I was going to work at home doing legal notices.  That turned out to be too boring, and too much like what I used to do. I toyed around with opening a Spa.  I like getting massages and facials, but not necessarily giving them.  I love to eat and watch cooking shows, but I can’t cook; and my husband who can cook-- wouldn’t.

Idecided to do what I know best…shopping. I have always enjoyedt finding great items at reasonable prices.  Why not open a store!  So here I am in Manitou Springs, my old stomping grounds. It is a cute little town and looks like a village in the Alps.  I have always liked it here.  Now I am at home bringing you all my favorite finds! Consider me your personal shopper. Come visit!
